The hand-woven bag 'Mochira' is a representative handicraft of Colombia.

In recent years, hand-woven Wayuu bags woven by the Wayuu people have spread all over the world, and mochira are being made in various regions.

The mochila we sell is made in the small town of Chorrera in northern Colombia.

The main industry in this region is crocheted knitted products.

Under the guidance and management of the Chorrera Craftsmen's Association, we share our original designs with the world.

The bag part is woven by women, while the shoulder and handle parts, which require strength, are hand-woven by men.

The person who knits the bag, the person who weaves the handle, and the person who connects each item.

Three craftsmen work together to complete each mochira over a period of 8 to 10 days .

There is no looseness or distortion, and the texture is well-proportioned like a machine.

The intricately patterned stitches, which are tightly packed without any gaps, are proof of a skilled craftsman.

Mochira is not only good in design but also strong and durable.

In addition to holding it with your mouth open, you can close it like a purse by pulling the four strings on both sides at the same time.

Capacity includes long wallets, smartphones, key cases, compact cameras, towels, cutlery sets, eco bags, etc.

It has a larger capacity than it looks, and can fit a 500ml bottle if the mouth is left open.

The material is acrylic thread with firm tension. If it gets dirty, you can wash it with water.

To prevent the bottom from sinking, we have included a bottom plate that matches each size.

It can be folded compactly, so you can take it with you without adding bulk when you go on a trip where you want to change your bag depending on the situation.

The size is great for when you're just going around the neighborhood or on days when you don't have much luggage.

- Spraying with waterproof or water repellent spray before use will repel rainwater, prevent stains, and prevent color transfer to clothes.
・We recommend using a weak alkaline bar soap for sebum stains on the handle, etc.
・For partial stains, place a cloth on the back, dampen a towel with water and apply a neutral detergent, and pat the area without rubbing, making sure to lift the stain. Be sure to remove any detergent by dabbing the finish with a damp towel.
・We recommend washing by hand, but when putting it in the washing machine, please use the hand wash cycle and be sure to put it in a laundry net. Shortening the dehydration time will prevent the product from losing its shape. When drying, please dry in the shade to prevent sunburn. To prevent color fading, please refrain from using detergents containing bleach or soaking the product. We recommend washing separately.
